Ethan Slater doesn't need to wait for Frankie Grande's love.
In fact, the Broadway actor has already received a seal of approval from Ariana Grande's big brother, who shared that he's a "big fan" of her Wicked costar and their relationship.
"I love him," Frankie told TooFab in an interview published June 5. "He's a very sweet guy."
The 41-year-old added that he's been a "big fan" of Ethan ever since seeing him in The SpongeBob Musical, which ran from 2017 to 2018.
"And I got to interview him when I was doing the SpongeBob SquarePants podcast," continued Frankie, who himself has starred in Broadway productions of Mamma Mia! and Rock of Ages. "And the Broadway community is a tight-knit family."
Besides, as Frankie put it, the real test of Ethan's character came down to how his sister feels about him.
"Honestly, I've always just said this, all I want is for my sister to be happy," he explained. "When she's happy, I'm happy. So, I'm very happy."
Ariana, 30, and Ethan, 32, costar in the upcoming film adaptation of Wicked. Their romance was made public in July 2023, after the "thank u, next" singer called it quits with Dalton Gomez following two years of marriage.
Looking back at how his sister landed the role of Glinda the Good Witch, Frankie said he was "dramatic as ever" when he heard the news.
"We were messes when she told us," the former America's Best Dance Crew judge remembered. "She actually came to see me in a show and she pulled me aside and told me and both of us hit the ground, on the floor, weeping."
He added, "It was a beautiful moment and all of the moments since then have just been absolutely magical, magical! No pun intended."
